Up for auction is a beautiful postcard cover from a stationery store, the Read and Write, to a Mr. Probst, in the Jewish ghetto in Shanghai China. Great cancels and markings. In excellent condition. Priced to sell. Postmarked November 6, 1940. Before and during world war 2 many Jews fleeing Nazi persecution took refuge in Shanghai China forming a ghetto. After the war, with the Nazi's defeated, and civil war in China heating up, many sought to go to Palestine or the USA.Shipping will be a flat $2.00 within the continental U.S. for USPS mail.
