Has a 1 cent washington profile stamp.
Addressed to: Miss Mary Maxwell
Route 4 Box 127 Newark Delaware
Message reads : "Arrived Philadelphia Ok Sorry your not with us. Taking 108 train and will be in Chocago 340 PM I hope Be sure to come. Larry John Joe Rudolf Bessie."
U.S. Mint Philadelphia Pa
The U.S. Mint is a government establishment for the coining of lawful metallic money. Besides making the coined money for the United States, the mint also makes metallic money for Foreign nations and does considerable business in the line of supplying fine gold and silver bars for industrial uses. In 1930 new and improved molds for minor coinage ingots were adopted in the melting and refining department and a grinding device has been installed which eliminated all hand filing.
