Very rare grouping from a woman sentenced to the female camp Konzentrationslager (KL/KZ) Ravensbrueck. She was an early member of the Nazi party, expelled and then rejoined for presumably practical rather than ideological reasons as she was subsequently taken into custody. She served time in Berlin prisons before being transferred to Ravensbrueck, where she contracted typhus and died. This lot contains her NSDAP reinstatement photo ID (uncommon in itself) from Kreis Erfurt, the document from Ravensbrueck detailing what possessions (clothing) of hers will be sent back to her father, and an extremely rare stationary cover from the Ravensbrueck crematorium. There are letters from her father detailing the news he received from the Gestapo and the disposition of her remains (an urn with ashes), and some of her letters to her significant other (a man in Gera) from prisons, and finally from the KL Ravensbrueck itself. There are also a couple of covers from the local court (Reichsanstalt) and a postwar cover concerning the horrors of the war. All together a quite remarkable grouping illustrating one tragic path through the Nazi prison camp system.
