This beautiful mansion was built in 1909 by one of Portland's most prominent citizens. Situated in the west hills with a panoramic view of the city, it is one Portland's most interesting sights. Now a part of the city's park system, it has beern fully restored to its former elegance. Completely modern with such innovations as a central vacuum cleaner sustem - elevators - thermostats in individual rooms and indirect lighting, made it a marvel in its day.
