AW An undated but modern 6" x 4.5" postcard celebrating this beautiful So Many Stars cat painting by Andy Warhol unused and mint.

Andy Warhol lived in an uptown apartment in New York City with his mother, Juliaand 25 cats. Working as a freelance childrens book illustrator, Warhol painted his feline companions in his spare time before casting them in a book of his own. In 1954, Warhol published a book of his cats accompanied by Julias calligraphy. The childrens book was titled (in incorrect grammar) _25 Cats Name Sam and One Blue Pussy_, and, incidentally, only contained 16 cats. Despite its technical mistakes, Warhols Cats Name Sam continue to endear and delightrepresent some of the earliest works available by the artist on the market. His paintings of cats remain some of his most popular today.
