CHAU2479 Antique circa WW2 large 8" x 6" press photo with all the press hallmarks on reverse and details of the image from when published. Titled "Fifteen Year Old Girl Cornet Player To Broadcast" - then states... "Gracie Cole, a fifteen year old girl, who is a member of a miner's band near Worksop, is to take part in the broadcast on June 11th when she will play a cornet in a programme entitled Blowing Your Own Trumpet"... ".. Gracie is the only member of the fair sex in the miners band, and she has wom many prizes for cornet sales in contests. Photo shows Gracie Cole rehersing a cornet solo for the broadcast and is dated 11th June 1940...." - It is outstanding condition (near mint).
