np43 This is an antique very early mailing novelty postcard from Westcliffe On Sea and shows a local Westclife crab and this lifts to open lots of miniature views of Westcliffe - these pocket novelty mailing cards are totally unique - it has some wear being a mild rippled effect I think from a little damp storage with aged apperance - the flap of the crabs shell storing the images is still partially sealed so the inside contents not explored by the former owner - unused with some age fading on reverse and a little dotting to card itself - these are unique postcards from 100 years ago and priced very modestly so a local historian can benefit for their collection.
