A great card (unsent, divided back) commemorating the 1912 "Wake Up, England!" summer tour sponsored by The Daily Mail, in which the pioneering aviator Claude Grahame-White hopscotched England in a seaplane to promote aviation.

As part of that tour, Grahame-White took H.G. Wells up for his first-ever airplane flight, in this very aircraft (a special Henri Farman-designed biplane with three wing bays and extra-wide top wings), on August 5, 1912.
