CHAU2153 This vintage 1973 hand signed document from Professor Heinz Tiedermann (1923 - 2004) (see below) and Professor F Korber, the latter who needs a little more research - both have personally hand signed the souvenir which appears a contract and bar centrally folded (which is how I will post) it is mint condition.
_Tiedemann grew up in Berlin and studied medicine in Berlin and Freiburg from 1941. He then studied chemistry with Else Knake in Berlin and received his doctorate in medicine. He then received his doctorate. rer. nat. with the biochemist Otto Warburg at the Kaiser Wilhelm Institute for Cell Physiology (later: Max Planck Institute for Cell Physiology) in Berlin-Dahlem and demonstrated that embryonic inducers are proteins and established phenol extraction to separate proteins from nucleic acids. In 1953 he married Hildegard Waechter; The marriage resulted in the children Karl-Heinz and Christiane Hervar. From 1954 he worked with Otto Mangold at the Heiligenberg Institute for Experimental Biology in Heiligenberg . He completed his habilitation in 1957 at the University of Freiburg . In the same year he worked there as a private lecturer . From 1963 to 1965 he was in Baltimore, USA, with his wife Hildegard Tiedemann._
_After his return in 1965, he became head of a working group at what was then the Max Planck Institute for Marine Biology in Wilhelmshaven. In the same year he was appointed a scientific member of the Max Planck Society and an adjunct professor of biochemistry at the University of Freiburg. In 1967 he became a full professor of physiological chemistry (biochemistry) at the Free University of Berlin and director of the institute there._
