Item Description

Early 1900's Hand-designed & Hand Colored French Post Card that reads "Le rat de ville et le rat des champs" (The City Mouse and the Field Mouse, or The City Rat and the Field Rat).

Signed Lower Left: Jean Matef (I think).

This postcard came out of a large French lot that runs from 1903 to 1918.

The card is un-mailed and was presumably given to a child who proceeded to do some pencil squiggles verso.

Two tiny pin holes top and bottom center from previous displaying; vertical file fold center (see scans).

The postcard in the scan is the one you will receive.
