Eton College House Masters Checking Absense Student Windsor Real Photo Postcard

bw247 Antique real photo postcard circa 1905 entitled "Absense" which according to Google and the Eton College glossary of school terms translates " A check to see whether any boys are absent without leave. House masters conduct regular absences within their houses, and there is a grand formal absence on the Fourth of June when the Head Master and a team of other masters read "Absense" in the School Yard and its vicinity". The card is unused with some age fading and a little surface graded vg and this card has such character from 110 years ago
