This 1942 postmarked postcard is written from a newly enlisted privateI'll bet your surprised to hear that I enlisted Aug 25th. I have to stay here for five weeks then move on. Hope to see you all before I go over the pond. I miss every body but I am going to make the best of it. I am in the toughest branch of the service. Engineers.
Card has a half inch spot on back, postal ink on front, 1.5 inch dent corners, soiling obvious cornerwear and edgewear.
Mailed in rigid cardboard with tracking.
