Up for auction is a beautiful mint never used black and white real picture postcard, depicting a view of the infamous Fort Breendonk concentration camp, Konzentration Lager, KZ, in Belgium. In excellent condition. Priced to sell. Published in the late 1940s. Very rare item. Photos by J. Droesbeke.The fort was occupied by Germany in 1940 and converted into a prison camp where prisoners, mostly members of the resistance and hostages as well as Jews, were tortured and often killed before being sent to killing centers in Eastern Europe like Auschwitz.
