chau3091 ORIGINAL 10" x 8" VINTAGE TV 1950s BBC PRESS PHOTO - This listing forms part of a collection of television photos of Tony Hancock and this souvenir is the original photographic master and called "Hancock Goes Straight". It has detailed editiorial for the newspapers on reverse in that Hancock was preparing for a non comedy role with historic actress Miriam Karlin (of The Rag Trade and was the catlady in Clockwork Orange) and here shown rehersing with her for the 1956 TV adaptation which was from the original HG Wells story of "The Man Who Could Work Miracles" and details its broadcasting for the BBC Home Service on New Years Eve 1956 - It has some faults (including smaller handling impressions and large top right indent) - Whilst mostly otherwise very good this must be allowed so my grading is good minus to good. However this press photo captures Hancock in a non comedy HG Wells role so this really is a one off opportunity which you wont source again.
