RPPC Cornerstone Laying Cathedral Basilica St Louis Real Photo PostcardThis event happened Oct 19, 1908 with the greatest Cathedral parade in the west. Apostolic delegate Archbishop Diomonde Falconio laid the cornerstone, dedicated to the Victorious Christ and Saint Louis IX, King of France. 77 members of St Louis parishes joined the procession.Postcard postmarked St. Louis MO, Nov 20, 1908, a little over a month after the ceremony. Sent to Mrs. Mary Smith of Leadville, Colorado from Mrs. J M?We have many more wonderful and unique postcards, along with other paper ephemera. Take a look at our store to see more treasures. Postcards are packaged in a plastic sleeve and mailed in a cardboard or thick paper mailer. ----------------We do have a dog who sometimes contributes a hair or two to the cause. But he generally does not collect postcards and is looking for love in all the right places.--
