Santa Rosa California Hotel St Rose Upper level is 4th floor 1906 Quake M Rieder Item Description: Caption reads: 'The Ruins of the New Hotel, Santa Rosa, Cal., after the earthquake and fire, April 18, 1906.'Description: This is what remains of the St. Rose Hotel. You are looking at the roof and fourth floor of the hotel located on Fourth Street.[I have seen this photo online that identified it and said the rooms showing were the fourth floor]. The owner built the new St. Rose Hotel [aka: Hotel La Rose] in 1907 on Fifth St; it is constructed from blocks of native stone.Publisher: M. Rieder, Pub., Los Angeles, Cal.Type: Photolithographic imageStamp Box: Place Stamp ; Here ; Domestic ; one cent ; Foreign ; Two Cents (the box has a picture frame effect).Postage Stamp: unused / Postmark:/ Cancel:Size, approximate inches: Horizontal aspect 3-1/2/x5-5/8 inches.The card is in an 'acid free' sleeve and a semi-rigid Ultra-Pro holder and sent in a mailer.We combine shipping when feasible; buyers will be sent an adjusted Hip invoice for the total, PLEASE WAIT FOR IT. Post Card GradingMint (M): A perfect card just as it comes from the printing press. No marks, bends or creases. No writing or postmark. A clean and fresh card. Seldom seen.Near Mint (NM): Like mint, but very very light aging or very slight discoloration from being in an album for many years. Not as fresh looking.Excellent (EX): Like mint in appearance with no bends or creases, nor rounded or blunt corners. May be postally used or unused and with writing and postmark only on address side. A clean, fresh card on picture side.Very Good (VG): Corners may be just a bit blunt or rounded. Almost undetectable crease or bend that does not detract from overall appearance of picture side. May have writing or be postally used on address side. A very collectible card.Good (G): Corners may be noticeably blunt or rounded with noticeably slight bends or creases. May have writing or be postally used on address side. Less than VG.Average (AV): Creases and bends more pronounced. May have writing in margins on picture side. Postmark may show through from address side but not on main portion of picture. Corners more rounded.Fair (F): Obvious creasing, staining, small tears or water damage evident; significant edge or corner damage - Just at collectable state.Poor (P): Card is intact. Excess soil, stained, cancel may affect picture with writing on either side. Could be a scarce card hard to find in any condition with heavy creases.Space filler (SF): Poor condition as above and may have corners torn or corners missing, etc. and breaks.
