Canada scott c5 airmail stamp tied by august 9, 11pm 1935 victoria, british columbia machine cancel on postcard addressed to 'library two week desk stanford university, california' with message reading, 'kindly renew my 3 books - paradise lost, essay on "faerie (queene?) and (thanby on 1?) (signed) miss a. Gantner (due august 10) was this card received in time or were there late charges. Canadian pacific empress hotel logo on reverse. Railway / train related. Scarce usage! Sent 1935, divided back with light corner bumping & toning. Very fine condition. (any streaks on the reverse side of the card are from the scanner and not on the actual card.) shipping is $2.00 domestic and $3.00 international. Purchases at/over $49.95 must be insured.
