Item Description
Bussman, 1909. "I'm not 'Bwana Tumbo BUT I'm traveling Some!"Roosevelt was proud of his Swahili name, B'wana Tumbo, which he was told meant "Master Hunter" but really means "Master Stomach" as a reference to his big belly.
Excellent condition with no major faults.
Roosevelt's safari to Africa was the first major expedition by an American, and opened up the Dark Continent to Americans, who knew very little about it. His trip was very closely followed by the press and so the public.
