Brooklyn Dodgers exclusive “Off-the-Record” Dinners were also “off-limits” to the press. These photos are private ones taken by teammates and include numerous casual interactions between the players and their host—Meyer Robinson, former president of Monarch Wine Co., maker of Manishewitz kosher wine. These dinners were for team members only—no wives or girlfriends or anyone outside the club. This collection was owned by Mr. Robinson (1906-1992) and he was an ardent fan of the Dodgers for his entire life. These photos were taken between 1947 and 1957 when the Brooklyn Dodgers played (and won) their last game at Ebbets Field on September 24, 1957. They beat the Pittsburgh Pirates 2-0. This part of the collection contains (22) 8” X 10” black & white photos. Displayed in this listing is just a sampling of the collection. Also included is a reprint of an article about the dinners published in the famous “The Brooklyn Cookbook.” If you loved the Brooklyn Dodgers, this is a “must have” that is one-of-a-kind.
