Jack august was a massachusetts staple. It opened the first restaurant location in northampton in 1935 and continue to grow to ten locations, a combination of seafood, chowder houses ad steak houses. Jack august's closed in the 1970 and 1980's. The northampton location pictured in the card was closed and the building was destroyed by fire in 2013.
