Item Description

This real photo postcard, depicting Main Street and the Post Office at Whitney Point, New York,' was mailed from Whitney Point, New York to Brooklyn, New York in 1907 franked by a one-cent blue green Benjamin Franklin issue of 1903, Scott 300 (major fault...some genius tried to pull it off the card). The stamp, or what's left of it, is tied to the card by a duplex with a barred elliptical killer.

Parts of the photo appear to have been colorized (something I've never seen before) such as a red hue on some of the brick buildings and a blue sky. These don't appear to be random stains, although there is a dark-ish discoloration at center, along with what looks like a telephone/telegraph pole at top left (either drawn in or double exposure??). Pen manuscript 'Tucks' at top right, significance of which is not known.

Mild indentations from previous use of corner mounts; tiny corner crease bottom right (see scans).

The card in the scan is the one you will receive. Light lines in images are SCANNER ARTIFACT!
