I used bidStart's API for uploading listings, getting a list of the unsold cards and so on. Does HipPostcard have an API, or is there one planned for it?
We have a full Bulk Lister, which allows you to easily create listings in Bulk, from the Members Area > Selling > Seller Tools > Bulk Lister page. We will also be putting out a video tutorial for it next week.
We've had a few requests for an API, and are planning to offer one. We're currently reviewing this with Sellers in more detail to see what the best solution we can provide is.
I'm glad to hear an API is planned. I'd plug for JSON, XML or CSV (in that order of preference) as the file format, but will make do with whatever you choose. I knew of the Bulk Lister, but it's a bit too one-way. Makes it hard to keep track of things.
Hello, I would be more than happy to walk you through our bulk lister process to keep inventory correct across multiple sites. Please email me support@hipecommerce.com. While we do not have a set time for the API to release, the bulk lister process can update your inventory within minutes.
What a pain and a lot of extra work without our API. Manually removing sales from other site takes away from listing moree, in other words wasting our time. Hip ruined our API's thus hurting our sales.
If you have a premium store on Delcampe, you can take 1 minute each week (or however often you like) to ensure proper inventory control across Delcampe and HipPostCard.
You would simply Export a CSV version of your Delcampe Listings using the Export all pages in CSV (Lister) template from the Delcampe Lister. This does not effect any Delcampe Listings. It creates a file of your current inventory on Delcampe.
The following video will show you how to use the file you downloaded from Delcampe to update your HipPostCard inventory. As you can see in the video, this should take about 30 seconds.
We hope this is helpful and will let the community know once we have an API option available.
I used to download a file from my delcame listing and then use bulk lister (bidstart) ... I see the video but no sound and way too fast to follow. Could a new video tutorial be made or at the very least a step by step instructions to follow .. I would like to renew an interest in listing. I also have an open art site I run on hosted servers ... it would be wonderful if there was an API sync ... I'd be willing to restart my whole site if necessary to match cats and all with Hippostcards
I just sent you an email to follow-up in regards to the listing process.
Here are the basics:
Step 1) On the Delcampe website, export your listings from the Members Area, using the "Delcampe Lister CSV File Format" - this may not be the default format.
Select your file, and then for "Field Mapping Template" select "Delcampe Lister CSV File", and click the submit button. Scroll to the bottom of the next page (leave all options as-is) and click submit again. Your file will then process over the next few hours, and you'll receive an email when it's done.
If anyone has additional questions, I am happy to help if you send an email to support@hippostcards.com
