My approach has been to offer Modern Picture Postcards, mostly Viewcards. I've been Collecting/Buying/Trading these types since 1978. Although I have a few hundred Unwritten cards in my store, I have a very deep inventory that just needs to be sc…

I ran a couple of auctions; they did not pan out. I received two nice store orders from Germany within days of each other. Quite happy...

@CPAPHIL...that SimilarWeb reference was most interesting. Thanks for that.

@Brent McClintock Thank you ...that is good to know. I might make an adjustment tweak.

@connie kraft If HP has one weakness, it is with listing items. Since the demise of Turbo Lister on eBay, there are other programs that have tried to fill the void. InkFrog seems to be one that is touted. I use the Bulk Lister on HP; it's okay ..b…

@Ben Bolton Best wishes on your new endeavor. I have had several sales since leaving eBay. I wish there were more, but I guess they will come in time.

I have been buying/trading/selling picture postcards for more than 40 years. It is very difficult to gauge what a postcard collection is worth. You did not say where you "came across this large lot of postcards." If this was on eBay, be cautious. …

I no longer sell on eBay. When I did, any lots less than 75-100 cards I shipped First Class Mail with no tracking. On HIP, I send single or several cards via First Class Mail without tracking.

Just a general observation. After many, many years...On February 1, 2021 I made the decision to stop selling postcards on eBay. This is not a knock against those sellers who find that platform useful. But for the types of cards I sell and baffling d…

Hi Ron, Thanks for the codes list!

union-hill@verizon.net Thank you, Ron

Thank you very much, Ron for your insights. That US state abbreviations are recognized is useful to know. Since I am just starting out, I am feeling my way in how potential buyers do their searches. That is, do buyers search by Subject or by State…

I am just starting out. I listed a group of 100 Modern postcards a couple of times and got crickets. I did sell a few items from my store @Fixed price.

I took off my vacation setting Friday; on Saturday, I was notified of two sales which will shortly ship.

@Kyle White I do agree that is problematic. With a postally used card, additional formatting is necessary to show the front/back of the card. That is even before listing the card on two sites.
-
@RuthAnn Davidson made some good observations about the pricing of postcards and the shipping involved. I recently sold a modern card for $0.49. My shipping policy is $1.75 for whatever number of cards your purchase at the same time & shipped in…

@George DeKornfeld...thanks for the feedback. I was thinking of listing New, Unused cards on this site; considered PU & Stamped & Written cards on the sister site - HipStamp. But it seems that a number of buyers look for used cards on HipPos…

It is quite irritating when sellers hose their customers with excessive S/H. I usually charge a $1.75 flat fee for as many cards that are purchased at the same time & shipped in the same package.

I bid eBay goodbye on Fe. 1, 2021; this after a presence of almost 21 years. The huge change that did me in was the "Buy It Now - Good Till Cancelled" fiasco. Attaching a business card with your HIP ID is a great idea, Debbie. I hope they follow you…

I also just opened my store recently. After a presence of almost 21 years on eBay, I made the decision to leave that platform; I did not have a store there however. eBay made a number of policy changes to the detriment, in my opinion, of the seller…
