Epson Es-400 Getting close to 50,000 postcards scanned and no problems. Stitches front and back together if you want to. Set at 300 dpi and easily scan 1,000 prepped and stacked postcards per hour.

Have you tried "au gres" michigan? most searches will give you the exact string in the " "

I have almost 50,000 items on ebay and the same here. Tons of sales on ebay and stretches of 3-5 days without sales here. eBay just has the traffic. But hip is worth the effort, if you have a listign process that does not create too much extra work.…

Here is a listing I created with both versions of pics. Did not change the settings except one is stiched, the others not. Yes the stiched is smaller but still everything is visible. https://www.hippostcard.com/listing/sample-listing-do-not-buy/3170…

Michael I would leave the settings the same. I am scanning at 300 dpi and I think the quality of the scans would be identical. I am gonna try some later both ways and post them here for comparison. M

Mark thanks for the reply. I am pretty sure the main reason my sales are increasing is that I list 1,000s of new items every month. Less than 10,000 a year ago to over 40,000 now. But it seems sales are nowhere nearly growing as fast as I increase i…

Not sure what you guys are selling, but even though hip is worth having eBay outsells hip about 10 to 1. Also with the 85,000 listings for $300 on eBay now it is a no brainer.

If you are willing to spend about 250 bucks plus tax get a Epson ES-400 stack scanner. Set at color, 300 dpi and double sided scan. I pre-number my cards and put in stacks of 25. Including rotating them upwards and saving I scan 500 cards in as litt…

Can you export a csv file from your inventory? Then tweek it to hippo format and you are golden!
-
Nope But you can probably export them somehow from eBay tweek it some and then bulk upload to hip. If not, look into inkfrog eBay listing services. Very reaonable monthly fee and even if you don't use it to list. You can export and tweek stuff for b…

You hit the nail on the head John!

go to vistaprint, do your own cards, then pass them out in the specific neighborhoods you want to target. assuming you are allowed to go out. would think this project definitely would qualify as essential. good luck and be safe

Other categories do not sync. Export eBay inventory and create a bulk list file to hip. Direct export from eBay SUCKS!!!!! Luckily we use inkfrog and with some tweaking it works very well. 50 at a time and some copy and paste. I think I can do ove…

I got another one for the books on ebay.... Postcard buyer left: Nice postcard, little pricey, but bought anyway.... (positive feedback). The grand total was... wait for it, wait for it....;. $4.99 including free s+h. This really bothered me. I kn…

I am barely covering the cost right now for featured LOL. SO maybe or maybe NOT would that help. And yeah I have noticed that many sellers with HUGE inventories sell very little. Others a lot. A lot of the foreign sellers don't sell much for a few r…

I agree and unfortunately that also led to eBay charging FVF on shipping rates as buyers got around it that way, when they did not charge for that. Almost some rotten apples that spoil it for everybody!
-
I agree it is not perfect, but better than nothing. ebay basically does the same. And even if you look at the high volume sellers, they have TONS of buyers that buy single items.

export entire inventory into spreadsheet

export your entire inventory into a spreadsheet?

Carol I pretty much stopped stamps and postal hisytory for postcards as the scanner makes it soooooo much more efficient. Listed over 4,000 cards in 3 months at home at night and weekend after my back breaking day job. Always plan on doing a day or …

I have done well over 4,000 cards so far and had maybe 15 or so instances of jamming. But none have caused any damage to the cards. Just pulled them out. Reset the scanner. Deleted the scans from that batch and redid it. Some of the iffier stacks I…
-
Carol nothing just a neat stack of 25 cards. Anything inside a sleeve would jam as the scanner will assume it to be multiple sheets to be seperated. That's why covers, envelops and folded cards won't work.
-
The scans look so nice and detailed at 600 dpi that i don't grade/rate condition at all. Just look at the scans and make your own decision.
-
I got an Epson ES-400 for $250 from Best Buy and I am totally in love with it. It paid for itself in time saved in no time. I scan 25 cards at a time and hardly ever jams. If it does. I just delete that batch and start over. Hardly miss a beat doing…

Not sure what size is right, but I have my stack scanner set at 600 dpi and 'color'. Pics always show and they are GREAT. nice details etc. LOVE my scanner. Can scan over 500 PCs an hour double sided.

Carol Thanks. That does make sense. And I agree, despite the need for categories 98% or so off stuff sells by keyword search. THAT can be taught to a lister. Just make sure no typos and get as many RELEVANT keywords in there as well. I also sell eph…

I always add used or unused to my title, as well as the word postcard to make it easier findable for searches. I considered adding the scott # as well, but since 99.9% are just basic run down the mills tamps it seems too tedious. I def look up more …

Hi Brent thanks, I did contact scview and they said their programmer in the middle east is MIA.... Not a good thing in that part of the world and they are currently deleting everything manually. I have posted locally for a programmer to do just that…
